Purpose and Reason:

Effective December 1, 2005 the rules are amended to include the Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). PACE provides an integrated model of medical and long term care services through pre-paid, capitated, comprehensive health care services to qualified persons age fifty-five (55) years and above who require the level of care provided in a nursing facility which will enhance the quality of life and autonomy for older adults so that they may live in the community as long as medically and socially feasible.
